please type an introductory paragraph containing a brief description of the three topics that i/we found interesting and/or informative, and statement about a contemporary political issue related to political science that will be discussed in greater detail later in the paper. it is stated that citations and in-text citations are required. please construct and communicate a solution to the problem  identified and please make sure to develop and express the solution in the form of an argument that is supported by the works cited.

There are four questions, each are worth 10 points. Each answer should be 200-250 words. Apply material from CH 5, (specifically political ideology) to make sense of the article.  (I’ve uploaded the article on the next page if it’s easier for you to access. Question from CH 6: Explain what is meant by the concentration of media.  In your opinion, does the concentration of media strengthen or weaken our democracy? Provide evidence from the chapter, videos, and readings to support your position. Explain how the electoral college works?  Discuss two (2) criticisms and (2) proposed reforms?  If it were up to you, how would you devise a system to elect the President of the US?  Why?  Be sure to answer each part of this question. In the context of COVID-19, how would you conduct both an inside game and an outside game (either for or against) universal health care in the US. (You don’t need to do any outside reading on how universal healthcare would work. I’m looking for how you would go about mobilizing the inside and outside games, not policy details. So it doesn’t matter what you argue (for or against), I just want to see you demonstrate you know what the inside and outside games are. YOUR RESEARCH TOPIC IS: “It is the view of many professionals that the COVID-19 pandemic is being politicized for individual advantage. How? What are the consequences of doing so?” Research Paper Guidelines: The following guidelines must be adhered to in your research paper. The body of the paper should present the evidence to support your thesis. If there is contradicting evidence from your sources, you should pay attention to that also. The paper should end with a well stated conclusion that either supports or refutes your thesis and explains why and the effect or repercussion of the issue you are researching.

Political Parties Assignment A party’s “platform” is its official statement of beliefs and values. Most members of a political party – including its elected officials – have never read their party’s platform. A widely-held view among campaign professionals and political consultants is that a party’s platform can never help its candidates, but can hurt them if it contains provisions that are considered controversial by swing voters. Your professor’s view is that party platforms are generally written by the most conservative Republicans and the most liberal Democrats – since those are the only party members devoted enough to hang around party conventions long enough to argue and vote on the platform provisions. Do party platforms really mean anything? Is there really any difference? Find the most recent platforms of the Republican Party of Texas and the Texas Democratic Party. Identify a current political issue that affects you and your community. Educate yourself by reading at least three articles from reputable sources about the issue. Identify three political parties (Republicans, Democrats, and a third party of your choosing); using their official websites or other reputable sources, report the position taken by each of the three parties on the issue you identified. Specify which of the parties’ positions most closely aligns with your own views. Does this information affect your party affiliation?  Explain why or why not. There is no set minimum or maximum length to this assignment, but it will likely be about 250 words long. You will turn in a .doc, .docx, or .pdf version of your essay a .doc, .docx, or .pdf document listing the three articles you read on your issue AND the three websites you used for researching the political parties.

Discuss the housing crisis in Canada. What policies are necessary to deal with it?

Great demands are placed on the Texas road system given all the people that will be here in the next few years.   To make matters worse, they are all moving to a specific geographical area of the state – all this growth is not uniform.   What is the State’s plan for roads in the future?  How is the State doing on infrastructure maintenance already?  How does the State pay for the road system?  Is there a gap?  These questions and the depth of analysis will be considered when I grade the ‘Analysis and Argumentation’ part of the rubric.
