Eugene: Wipf & Stock, 2015: the Introduction and each of the 4 chapters. This book is the product of an academic thesis intentionally designed to be a critique of various theological traditions within Christianity. The purpose of reading and critiquing this book is to help you learn how to evaluate and process the merits and faults of a theological position, while being respectful. Our responsibility before God and others is to ground our convictions in the contextual principles of God’s Word.Liberty University brings great diversity, and each theological tradition has its own strengths; at the same time, we are to be people of the Word. As such, we must be committed to seeking to understand truth rightly, even at the expense of our own traditions. This book provides a critique of various positions within the Christian tradition. [SOLVED] Modern Political Theory

Directions:Discuss Wollstonecraft’s views regarding reason and virtue and how they are best cultivated in human beings.  Given these views, why is the system of gender role socialization of her time so pernicious?  How, per Wollstonecraft, should this system be changed, and how would this benefit  both the acquisition of knowledge and the progress of society?RUBRIC(most follow):You should follow the standard procedures for writing a coherent essay: you should have a thesis statement, points that develop your thesis, and conclusions. If you want guidance, the instructors would be happy to talk with you about your essay.  The University also has a writing center that can assist you.Try to answer the question, and to develop a persuasive argument in answer to the question. In doing so, please do make specific reference to the text(s) that you are discussing.  For example, saying, “Machiavelli thinks that human beings are basically evil” may be correct, but saying “In the Discourses, Book I, chapter 3, Machiavelli asserts that all human beings are basically evil when he states that ‘all men are bad and ever ready to display their vicious nature’ (Machiavelli 1984 [1531], 117)” is more accurate. The reference may also be made via footnotes; the point is that I want you to offer not merely your impressions of an author’s intent, but your substantiated argument regarding the author’s intent. This is not intended to exclude speculation but rather to indicate that it should be informed speculation.

[SOLVED] Dead Poets Society

Write a substantive 250 words response to the ideas from a classmate’s post listed below, that originated from their views from the book and movie listed.•    Parker J. Palmer, To Know As We Are Known: A Spirituality of Education (San Francisco: HarperSanFrancisco, 1983)•    Dead Poets Society MovieThe section of Parker J. Palmer that spoke to me was the piece that talked about Openness, Boundaries, and Hospitality. One source of that tendency is our fear of appearing ignorant to others or to ourselves. Even though we are brought into education by ignorance, the fear of” not knowing” often leads us to pack the learning space with projections and pretensions. (p.71) This is something I deal with frequently. But it shouldn’t give a false impression that I’m or we are stupid or slow.Fear is a basic human emotion, with a very positive function in our lives. I don’t much care about what people say or think about me but knowing and understanding things reassures me (us), but ignorance that I feel sometimes puts me in a state of alert. It cannot cure everything I face daily but I do know education is the best antidote for ignorance. The fear of “not knowing” is a strong emotion that I face also, it can be a very common and serious affliction. All during high school and the military but mainly sports, I was a high achiever who has extraordinarily high expectations for myself.  I willingly strive for perfection in everything that I’m COMFORTABLE with. I sometimes feel like” not knowing” is emotionally devastating.Like Parker J. Palmer spoke about, I write the longest and most convoluted papers when I don’t know what to say. I would fill the learning space with meaningless words. This book by Parker J. Palmer helped me to see that my learning style is normal and it’s okay to want more. But the main thing is If I don’t know.  I just don’t know and that’s the reason I’m here.
