Voter Disenfranchisement

The history of voter disenfranchisement in the U.S. is well documented. To say that all has been resolved would be inaccurate.  During various election cycles, there have been and continue to be efforts to disenfranchise voters from exercising their right to vote.  Recent voting primaries in various states have resulted in broken voting machines, disengaged polling helpers, voting sites being shut down with other locations too far for many to travel to.  Thus, their right to vote has been compromised. So, what is the Census?  Good question!  The Census is a process undertaken by the U.S. government every ten years to assess numerous elements related to “We the People”.
