This week, your reading discusses the Department of Defense’s  Military Accessions Vital to National Interest (MAVNI), Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and other uses of executive discretion to facilitate pathways to citizenship. Choose a topic involving executive discretion in immigration and discuss it fully, including both the arguments for and against the program.
