Research different popular nontraditional health care practices. Write a 1,000-1,200-word paper exploring nontraditional health care practices and include the following: Describe nontraditional health care practices in different cultures. Compare at least three cultures. Explain the importance of these practices in providing holistic and quality health care. Identify the nontraditional health care options in your areas, and identify the number of people choosing to use them over traditional medical practices. Propose reasons why the number of people using nontraditional health care options is rising.

Select an ethnic minority group that is represented in the United States (American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian American, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander). Using health information available from Healthy People, the CDC, and other relevant government websites, analyze the health status for this group. In a paper of 1,000-1,250 words, compare and contrast the health status of your selected minority group to the national average. Include the following: Describe the ethnic minority group selected. Describe the current health status of this group. How do race and ethnicity influence health for this group? What are the health disparities that exist for this group? What are the nutritional challenges for this group? Discuss the barriers to health for this group resulting from culture, socioeconomics, education, and sociopolitical factors. What health promotion activities are often practiced by this group? Describe at least one approach using the three levels of health promotion prevention (primary, secondary, and tertiary) that is likely to be the most effective in a care plan given the unique needs of the minority group you have selected. Provide an explanation of why it might be the most effective choice. What cultural beliefs or practices must be considered when creating a care plan? What cultural theory or model would be best to support culturally competent health promotion for this population? Why? Cite at least three peer-reviewed or scholarly sources to complete this assignment. Sources should be published within the last 5 years and appropriate for the assignment criteria and public health content. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required. This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Students will be asked to write a published original research paper that highlights a specific aspect or issue in the health policy. The paper will adhere to the APA style manual. The paper should include an abstract (word summary of paper), with 12 pt front double spaced , and 1 inch margins all around, and reference page. The paper will focus on the topic: Impact of Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act on Low-Income Individuals. The paper will describe the event or condition and how its development has influenced healthcare delivery.

Locate a health campaign (blog, ad, website, commercial, print ad, etc.) and write a report in which you evaluate the campaign using the concepts discussed in our text. For example, you could describe what kinds of decisions the campaign directors made in designing and implementing a campaign. Or you might analyze the content of the message in terms of types of appeals (e.g., emotional/logical, positive/negative affect). Or you could assess how effectively the campaign adapted to a target audience.

In your research you should identify a quality improvement (QI) initiative that will improve the way patient care is delivered at the facility. The QI can be the result of organizational need, accreditation standards, and/or regulatory requirements. Instructions: Clearly state the specific QI objective. Provide a brief description articulating why the QI is important and how the quality of patient care will be improved as a result of the QI. In addition, identify an executive, team lead, and staff member as the stakeholders who are responsible for the implementation of the QI and explain what roles they play in the implementation of the objective. It will be necessary to generate a flow chart that specifically emphasizes the steps necessary for implementing the QI as well as the position that is most appropriate for performing the tasks and exact duties of the step. A new regulation now requires hospitals to prepare for recording diagnoses using a new set of codes.
