This assignment will ask you to reflect on what you saw in the movie. What concepts, theories, or topics from week content did you see illustrated in Her? There are two parts to this reflection. you need write each part according to the rubric.

As you have now learned, distribution was always the biggest advantage of traditional publishers. Ebooks and audio books have been challenging that advantage as more and more smaller companies offer electronic distribution services. These companies have also increased market access to self-published titles, which have been exploding in number. With the increase in numbers of books and the varied formats for sale, discoverability of any title has become an even bigger challenge for publishers. Address the following in essay format and submit your answer. As a reader, how do you find new titles? If you read fiction, how do you discover new authors? What is the key indicator that helps you decide to buy a book? Do you use online sites such as Goodreads to find reviews and/or recommendations? What advice would you offer a publisher looking for new ways to better reach their audience? How to structure this paper Your paper should be structured with an introduction that ends with a thesis statement, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion that restates your thesis and brings your 3 main points together in a reasoned way. Your THESIS STATEMENT should be one sentence that clearly states your position on why you believe the specific character you chose experienced intercultural conflict, and briefly introduces the 3 main points you will analyze in the body of your paper. EACH BODY PARAGRAPH should include: • A TOPIC SENTENCE which describes the cultural value/norm you are going to examine and how you believe it affected your chosen character. • REASONING AND ANALYSIS: in each body paragraph, your challenge is to analyze a scene where your chosen character experiences intercultural conflict according to the cultural values and norms from chapter 2, and use the article and your personal experience to support your analysis. • A sentence that transitions to your next paragraph. Your CONCLUSION: Restate your thesis, and then answer this question: knowing the impact of co-cultural differences on intercultural communication success, what communication competence strategies could the characters have used to help them better communicate with the other characters? References and Citations When you use other people’s words, ideas, or work in your paper, you must cite them. If you directly quote their work, you use quotation marks to signify this and give the page number, as well. If you are simply paraphrasing or borrowing from one (or more) person’s work, you do not need quotation marks, but you still need to indicate whose words you are using with a citation (for example, put their names in parentheses after the paraphrase).   At the end of your paper, you should have a Works Cited page where you list all of the references used in your paper. Media Analysis Essay Format and Documentation: This assignment requires you to write an essay, rather than a report.  An essay differs from a report in that your own views need to be balanced with the research and the marketing videos.  Your views, analysis and commentary need to be approximately 50% of the content, and the research and videos need to be the other 50% of the content of this assignment. Write an essay of 2000 words (+ or –10%), using paragraphs of approximately 100 words each.  You will need an introductory paragraph to the essay as a whole, which will introduce the videos, the financial institutions, and your argument, which is your thesis statement. The thesis statement needs to be clear, focused and debatable. It is placed at the end of the introductory paragraph and connects in a clear, logical way to the topic sentences of each body paragraph. Your thesis statement ought to indicate which video is the most effective according to the criteria you have chosen. Each body paragraph requires a topic sentence, transitions and a concluding sentence.  Do NOT use headings for this piece of writing, but make certain to provide transitions between paragraphs for logic and coherence. Single-space this document but double-space between the paragraphs. Use APA requirements for your title page, other formatting requirements such as a running head, and for your in-text citations and References list.
