Artificial Intelligence and technology are becoming more prominent in the management and leadership of organizations. It is imperative, as a business student, that you are abreast of the advantages and issues that organizations are facing when implementing AI and other technologies. Thinking about your future career plans, research how AI is affecting your potential or current line of work. What are some of the advantages and disadvantages that your industry is facing? How can AI and technology influence leadership and management in this industry? Based on your findings, what recommendations would you implement to maximize the AI effectiveness? What do you need to know now to be an effective leader in the future? Write a short report (no more than 3 pages double spaced with 1-inch margins) referring to your current exposure to artificial intelligence as a consumer, student, and employee. Assignment 2 asks you to create your own fantasy company. You decide the product that is to be produced (it may be information, services, or a tangible product), but your company must have at least 15 regular employees*. Expect to spend some time with this assignment, and include the following things in your assignment: (1) Name of your company and product, (2) Number of employees and the jobs that they hold, (3) Authority structure (i.e., Is your company decentralized, bureaucratic, authoritarian, or something else entirely?); (4) An organizational chart, to include lines of authority and reporting (note: should include individuals, not just job functions); (5) A geographic location (note: must be within one of the 50 United States); (6) A strength (must be one and only one of the following: limited competition, high-demand product, strong leadership, rapid adaptability, or large amount of capital); (7) Pick a weakness (must be one of the following, but by all means pick as many as you wish: heavy competition, high turnover, heavily leveraged, or sluggish organizational structure); (8) A company logo (note: Use your artistic abilities the best you can. Give the relevant codes, including the sector in which your company exists (for example, colleges and universities fall under sector 61) and an excerpt from the industry description that is output by the system. Note that this company will come up again in future assignments, so it is important that you do a good job of creating a sustainable one to the best of your ability, and put some effort into this assignment.

In a 3-4-page paper explore a workplace organization and their policies around diversity. Analyze the diversity of the organization and develop a report about how you would bring a new workshop, event, or speaker series to the organization to enrich their approach to diversity. If the organization has a great program already in place, think about how you might contribute to what they already have. Choose a workplace organization (the one you’re employed with or perhaps one you would like to work for) and review their policies on embracing diversity. If your organization is a public organization (college, university, government employment agency, or nonprofit), that information will be public and on the organization’s website. For this assignment, you should focus on race and ethnicity, because this Module deals with race and ethnicity, but note also that diversity includes ability, age, religion, gender, sexuality, etc. Consider how this event might help the organization’s staff use their creativity and awareness to imagine a community which truly values diversity. Brainstorm what this community would be like if they had an environment which truly valued racial and ethnic diversity, based on the research you conducted. Feel free to explore different sorts of diversity activities listed on the Internet, but you must come up with your own activity. Conduct research using scholarly sources to review Affirmative Action policies regarding education and employment as well as making sure you have done all of the reading for this week before completing your assignment.

You have been asked to teach a one-hour course on cognitive biases at your workplace. Write an essay that addresses the following: Which of the cognitive biases would you address?
