Evaluate decisions and impacts of key government leaders during the New Deal policies, Eisenhower’s emphasis on a balanced budget, and the final undermining of the Gold Standard. Provide an evaluation of those decisions and impacts in light of the model of statesmanship introduced in this module/week’s presentation. The class readings are Economics: Private and Public Choice by Gwartney et al.: chs. 11–16, Special Topic 6 and The Great Deformation: The Corruption of Capitalism in American by David Stockman: chs. 8–13. Why does the US government feel that the use of illicit drugs such as cocaine and opium (morphine) should be controlled? How do you feel about control of cocaine and opium compared to marijuana, alcohol, and tobacco?

Expound on the government regulation of monopolies or oligopolies due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For Milestone One, you will research three sections of your final project as they relate to the 10-year historical period that you chose in Module One: gross domestic product, unemployment/inflation, and interest rate fluctuations. You will then create your first 4–6 presentation slides. Be sure to read the Milestone One Guidelines and Rubric to ensure you are covering the critical elements of this assignment. I have attached the milestone guidelines and template.

What is the difference between implicit and explicit bias? 2. Take the Race IAT. What was your reaction to your results when you saw them? Do you think they were accurate? Explain why you felt this way. 3. Provide an argument defending the IAT as a good way to measure implicit bias. Then, provide an argument against the IAT’s ability to measure implicit bias. (You should read more about the test design; the FAQs page is a good place to start: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/faqs.html) 4. Revise your draft. ? Check: does each paragraph express one clear idea? Do you tell the reader what that idea is in a topic sentence? ? To make sure that your writing is concise and clear, take a word count of each paragraph, and then cut 10% of the words. ? The purpose of a reaction article is to develop your skills of critical analysis of another’s position and to develop a counter-argument to their position. Where is there argument weak? What essential facts do they omit? What alternative examples or facts refute their position. Finally, dhow might those things alter their position. While certainly, your reading and reaction will
reflect your position on the topic, this exercise is more about developing a counter-argument as to why the author’s position is wrong or poorly supported. If you agree with the author’s position, you should state how it could have been better supported or proven.
Each paper should be at least one full page but no more than two full pages double spaced (times new roman 12 pt., 1-inch margins) and should include appropriate citations for any work other than the assigned article used or referenced in the paper. The format of the paper should follow the MLA 8th formatting requirements. See style information here:
The articles will be made available on Blackboard. Select one article from each unit listing. The completed essay must be uploaded to Blackboard by the due date for credit.

Grading:
Each paper is worth up to fifty (50) points towards the final grade.
General Instructions for a reaction paper and grading criteria:
1. Use MLA 8th format for the paper
2. The first paragraph must list the title of the article, the authors’ complete name, the date published, and the publisher as well as a summary of the main point of the article. If any of this information is unavailable, you can omit that portion.
3. Subsequent paragraphs should include your reaction to the article: did the author prove his or her position? Are there points that the author made that are important? Did the author miss critical information? Etc. You must support your reasons for agreeing or disagreeing with the author with facts, events, or other supporting information.
4. Finally, in the last paragraph, state if you recommend this article to others and why or why not?

5. If you use outside facts, information, or opinions, you must cite them using MLA format.
If you only use information from the article and list the information about the article in paragraph 1, you do not need in-text citations or a “Works Cited” page.
6. The work must be uploaded to Blackboard on or before the due date in either Microsoft
Word or .PDF format.

This should be review paper, where the writer can search for literature regarding mega development projects. All the mega development projects which are reported by research papers and other sources which have led to displacements of local people and the brought marginalization for them. The paper will dig out how these studies show the impacts and what are the main reasons for such negative impacts brought by mega development projects in Pakistan. The paper should have a valid sources, good methodology and overall good quality.
