Billing Practices
You recently started working at a primary care clinic, and the office manager agreed to provide on-the-job training in coding and billing. Youre excited for this opportunity to expand your skill set, as you have some education, but limited experience in coding and billing. During your training, the manager explains how many visits are nearly identical when it comes to coding. She explained how Medicare reimbursement rates are low, making it difficult for the practice to profit off Medicare patients. Therefore, the physician will often tack on additional codes for a standard encounter. His preference is smoking cessation (99406) or advanced care planning (99497) to pad the claim. Explain how you will proceed, by answering the following: What is your response to the manager? Who is at fault here, and why?

International Expansion Project- Ingroup
The topic is VinGroup, which is a Vietnamese largest private company. The target of expansion would be Cambodia or Laos. As they are a catch-all conglomerate and standard-bearer of industry, they want to do the same thing to Cambodia and Laos by using their economic and brand power to engage in the new market. Introduction (~250 words): State the topic, as described above, in one clear sentence. Briefly describe the companys name, location, mission or purpose, current global presence, size in terms of the number of employees/sales, and main products or services offered. Give a brief explanation of no more than two sentences stating why you believe the selected location and activity represent a good opportunity for the firm. Country Analysis (~1,000 words): Using the frameworks provided in the first six chapters of the Daniels, Radebaugh and Sullivan IB textbook, and research resources provided on Canvas, conduct an analysis of the geographic, cultural, political, legal and economic environments of the country in which you choose to expand. Be sure to revisit this section after you complete section 3, so that you can be sure to emphasize those characteristics of the environment which are most relevant to your strategy. Arrange each environment with a heading. Use data, charts and graphs liberally (meaning use these wherever possible instead of long boring passages of numbers that are hard to decipher as text. The research component of the grading scheme depends heavily on these figures and tables, assuming they are referenced in the text in a meaningful way). Note that you should use time-series data to show trends wherever possible (i.e. instead of single points in time), and dont translate your graphs into the text assume your reader can read a graph that is well prepared (I can!) and use your text to instead to interpret the meaning of the graph (e.g. Figure 1 depicts positive economic growth in Liberia from 2010 to 2019. Growth is furthermore exceeding that in Spain by a factor of two . Label and number your tables using the header Table [#]: [Brief Title]. Graphs and other diagrams must be labeled: Figure [#]: [Brief Title]. Tables and figures must be referred to in the text using their labels (e.g. Figure 3 shows , Table 2 lists ). Tables and Figures not referenced in the text will not be included in the grading. Finally, make sure to use meaningful headings and legends so that the reader knows what each line in a graph or row/column in a table is referring to. Units for all data that has units must be given in headings, the label or legend. If numbers are unit-free indices or ranks, be sure to say what constitutes a high or low score/rank. For indices, indicate the total possible range of values (e.g. 0-120), and for ranks say out of how many (e.g. out of 150 countries). Strategy and Implementation plan (~1,000 words): First, describe the activity to be performed. This may be sales, production, outsourcing, service offerings, etc. Next, describe how it will be done, either through setting up shop in the foreign country, exporting (direct or indirect), licensing, franchising partnering, etc. etc. etc. Chapters 6-8 and 12-16 should be referenced, but not exhaustively. Give a rationale for the chosen strategy and an estimate of the returns from this new opportunity. Finally, your implementation plan should describe in detail the most relevant function that must be adapted to achieve the strategy. This means from Chapter 17-20, you should focus on either marketing, supply chain, accountingfinance, or human resources. It is recommended that you choose something that is of interest to you, e.g. something that corresponds to your major or concentration. Do you best to estimate the additional costs that your plan will incur, so that these can be compared to the expected return from the investment. The payback period and ROI should be disclosed. Summary (~250 words): Restate your objectives, the proposed plan and outcomes, the expected return from this objective, and the amount of investment required. References (no limit) Use of any style is acceptable, so long as I can easily find my way to the original source. Here is a reference style guide from the MLK Library: https://libguides.sjsu.edu/writeandcite (Links to an external site.). Every reference should be cited in the paper as follows: (Author, Year). Dont reference databases in your reference section. Instead, reference them as footnotes to your tables and figures (e.g. Source: World Bank, World Development Indicators, accessed on September 23, 2020). Appendices (optional, no limit) If you have any long lists of data or large figures that take up too much room and cannot be shown effectively in a half or three-quarter page entry, feel free to include it as an appendix.
