Distinguishing between Acclimation and Adaptation
Acclimation and adaptation are common terms used when describing populations. For novice biologists, acclimation and adaptation are commonly confused. This confusion is made worse because acclimation and adaptation have different meanings in everyday language. Use your knowledge of natural selection to describe what adaptations are and how they result. Contrast acclimations to adaptations and describe the conditions that allow for acclimations to develop. It may help you to frame your argument if you start by constructing a paragraph for yourself that says: Before reading my paper, my reader will think X. After reading my paper, my reader will think y. Your summary should be typed in Times New Roman 12-pt font and be one-and-a-half-spaced with 1 margins.

Follow this link for the movie https://www.pbs.org/video/nova-lifes-greatest-miracle/ These should be 2-3 paragraph responses that illustrate that you watched the movie, thought about the material presented, referenced any notes or additional information you may have learned about the subject, and were able to reflect on the topic. This is not a Netflix/Amazon movie review where you discuss how much you liked the film. Instead, use the film as a spring board to discuss the topic.
Cell Reproduction
You are a doctor in a hospital, and a patient is experiencing trouble with her skin repairing itself from a cut. The patient is also expecting a child, but the cells in the reproduction development are experiencing malfunction in cell division. Describe the stages of each type of cell reproduction process from a normal patient whose body cells can repair themselves and normal cell division during the reproductive development of the unborn baby. Explain the disadvantages and advantages of each type of cell division. Discuss how the patient experiencing problems with the cells repairing from the cut and the child’s reproduction development malfunctions can alter haploid and diploid cell development.
