Task 2 Initiating a Project Read Schwalbe Chapter 3, Initiating Projects. Now that you know what project you will tackle, it is important to work through all the steps to have a successful outcome. This begins with defining goals and objectives – creating a business case. A business case is a justification for the project based on the expected benefits. This whole process of initiation is essential to obtain a commitment from the customer or management team to project. Investigate how to write a problem statement, goals, and objectives, which are all components of the Business Case. Review LinkedIn Learning course Project Management Foundations, section 2, First Things First.   You should have completed the entire video course in Task 1. Focus on the defining problem statements, goals, and objectives. Watch a short video on LinkedIn Learning, Business Case. Note – just the video, not the entire course!  No certificate for this task.
