Task 2 Initiating a Project Read Schwalbe Chapter 3, Initiating Projects. Now that you know what project you will tackle, it is important to work through all the steps to have a successful outcome. This begins with defining goals and objectives – creating a business case. A business case is a justification for the project based on the expected benefits. This whole process of initiation is essential to obtain a commitment from the customer or management team to project. Investigate how to write a problem statement, goals, and objectives, which are all components of the Business Case.
