Writing Journal

Journal 1: A Writing Journal   What is writing? Choose two or three of the questions below to write a thoughtful journal post.  Ideally, your post should be 3-4 paragraphs that ponder what writing is and how/when it works (not just answers to the questions).  If you cite outside sources, please use MLA format. See rubrics for how I will grade this activity.    Discuss some writing you’ve done in school and out What definitions, ideas, thoughts, expressions, etc. do you associate with writing? Talk about what writing you see or read that you feel is successful Muse about what makes writing good Postulate what you, as a student in 122, need to know about writing, Anticipate what writing will you do in your major and/or career Share what your favorite writing is, and/or share what is your least favorite writing.  What type of writer do you see yourself as, and why? Create a list of 5-8 key terms that define writing.
