Read Chapter 4: Writing a Rhetorical Analysis Read Chapter 2: Thinking and Reading Critically Reader Response # 5 1. Complete the “Template for Writing a Rhetorical Analysis” (the one that follows “Sweatshop Oppression,” and is just before Exercise 4.2).  2. Identify at least two rhetorical techniques used by Jerome Sieger in his essay, “Sweatshops Are Good.” Explain why you felt one was effective or ineffective.  Reader Response # 6  1. Answer questions 1 and 2 (the questions directly after John Tierney’s “The Reign of Recycling.”).  2. Complete the “Template for Writing a Critical Response” just before Exercise 2.7 (the one that begins, “According to John Tierney, recycling …”).
