World Religion
We are to write an essay on World religion course. This essay is supposed to be an argumentative essay. Saying that, the thesis needs to tell about what the problem is and tell about the proposed solution. Thesis needs to present an argument. I have attempted to start writing the intro/thesis. Not sure if this is what this topic should be answering and if this is argumentative. Also please help on what my body can be about. Need key argument points for body please. Please provide feedback and the direction I should follow. Below is the essay topic I have chose: Most of the world religions insist that peace is a core value, yet nearly all of the religious groups are or have been at war with each other and often side with political factions waging war. How are we to understand the professed virtues of religion in light of violence and persecution? My writing: Even though religions try to promote peace, nearly all religious groups have been at war before at some point. I believe that religion is the cause of most wars because religions claimed virtues are not practiced and emphasized enough. In other words I think religions have contradictory claims and virtues.
