Visual Analysis of an Ancient work of art
A 3-4 page double spaced paper that concentrates on a formal visual analysis (include reproduction of image). You may include 1-2 paragraphs of historical placement and 1-2 paragraphs of interpretation/reading of the image/object. Include citations and bibliography. Use MLA format and citation guide (refer to Purdue Owl or the writing center under student resources) Respond to the following questions: Where was the object found and by whom? How old is your piece? What material is your piece made of and what techniques were employed? What was the civilization or peoples who produced this piece like in terms of religion, economy and or social structure? Does your object suggest content or meaning about its time and place?
