Top HR Challenges

SCENARIO: You are the Human Resource Manager of a company. You had a previous conversation with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company where you stressed the importance of having the HR department play a greater role within the company. You only briefly spoke with them but got them to agree to meet with you. After reading two articles you decided to summarize these articles in a memo to the CEO and COO, so they would have a better understanding of what you intend to discuss in greater detail during your upcoming meeting. INSTRUCTIONS: In the Lesson 2 folder you will see two articles: “7 HR Challenges and How to Face Them” and “Top 10 HR Challenges of 2019”. Read them. Decide on a company for this assignment. It can be an established business or a pretend one.  If the company is real, then you will need to find out the names of the CEO and COO of the company. If the company is not real, then you will make up the names. Using Microsoft Word create a new document and on the first page create a Title Page in APA format. On page two of the document, format and then draft a one-page email to the company CEO and COO that summarizes the two articles and expresses your desire to address these articles and the issues mentioned in your upcoming meeting with the CEO and COO. Your email should address their names, have a one-paragraph introduction, the body of your message, your conclusion/closing, and it should end with your name. On the next page include your reference list. Make sure that when you summarize the articles that you properly cite the sources in APA format, and be sure to include a reference list in APA format. Your email should be free of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors. It should be professional. Read it aloud before submitting it for grading.
