The method choice is evidence since the authors boldly mention that this a qualitative approach. They further opt for a specific perspective in investigating the mantram repetition program on veterans diagnosed with PSD. Another evidence in support of the method is the employed criteria or procedure of three questions to get the targeted information (Bormann, Hurst, & Kelly, 2013). Purposive sampling was the best approach for the study since it met all the necessary features, such as the criteria for selecting the participants. The nature of the study could equally not opt for any other method. Data Collection The authors of this study employed the interview approach, and they specify to have used the telephone criteria in some instances. The process began with CIRT selection for the brief interview and analysis process. Every session was defined to take between ten and fifteen minutes while its focus remained on the facts connected to MRP skills (Bormann et al., 2013). Employed Bias-reduction Methods First, the authors engaged a research nurse trained in CIRT who facilitated telephone interviews, which enhanced data accuracy since they were trained in that field. After settling on purposive sampling, which is a qualitative technique, the authors relied on a factual interview that dealt with specific information concerning the research topic to minimize generalization. In addition to the above, only particular information on mantram usage was required, which helped curb the possibility of unnecessary wording. The study also considered member checking that ensured balance in the sampled participants (Bormann et al., 2013). Again, the researchers NURSING 3 provided data saturation by asking some two detailed questions consecutively until participants had nothing more to say; it made sure of full factual inclusion. There was a CIRT expert, a medical anthropologist, who operated as an external audit to ensure the study met CIRT standards when collecting and analyzing data. The bit of thorough content analysis was in place since an expert in qualitative research and a medical anthropologist did the review work on all interviews employing the standard qualitative analytic technique. Conversely, there was also audiotaping, coding, and transcription of the meetings, which all served in categorization and identification of stressful incidents as reported and gathering participants’ response in each case (Bormann et al., 2013). In ensuring completeness of behaviour description, there was data ‘memoing’, and finally, the researchers also employed the use of standardized and well-structured questions in the interview to further mitigate the likelihood of bias in the study. The Identified Themes/ Sub-themes Relaxing and calming down; it is a controlling experience recorded by the participants upon using mantram repetition, where they are held not to get involved in hypertensive activities. Letting go of negative feelings; it occurs when the study subject cultivates a sense of emotional regulation resulting in reduced conflicts (Bormann et al., 2013). Some examples of sub-themes under this are letting go of anger and anxiety. Letting go of anger; this is the process where a subject is not madly stressed out after taking learning mantram. Letting go of anxiety; it is where the mantram process helps curb flashback or nightmare issues that might force a subject to visit inappropriate places (Bormann et al., 2013).
