Summary of a Professional Journal Article

Select and read an article from professional journals. Although psychology journals are preferred, you may read an article published in medical/psychiatric, nursing, social work or family therapy journal as long as the article addresses a life span issue.    Summarize the main points of the article and what you learned from reading it. Use the following structure or organization when preparing your paper:  1) What did you think about the topic/issue before you read the article  2) Summary of the study  3) How your thinking changed after reading the article  When summarizing the article please indicate:  1) Who did the research (the authors)  2) Who were studies (the research population/ sample)  3) Why did the author(s) examine the topic/issue  4) What was discovered or concluded You may disregard any specific examples, statistics, or technical language when summarizing the article.  *ON A PERSONAL NOTE, I TAKE PLAGIARISM VERY SEROUS AND WILL NOT TOLERATE IT!!
