To begin with, the theory of language as a topic, offers theoretical linguistic, for its set on the mandate of answering the question, “what is the exact meaning of language?” Afterwards, the theory of learning takes its position, describing how learners receive, process, with an idea of retaining knowledge in learning activities. Ultimately objective of the course is understanding English as a second language, whereby the learners shall be in a position of implementing the knowledge acquired in the constructive communication arena. Besides, the course is covered through the application of several activities, such as group discussion, weekly evaluation and class presentation. Concerning learner’s role, undertaking assignments, writing notes, and self-class presentation shall be implemented. Similarly, the teacher’s role include timely class attendance to cover the syllabus, evaluating learners, and giving feedback Richards,& Rodgers, 2014). Instructional materials shall promote comprehensive comprehension of information studied in class, whereby learners are expected to visit the library regularly. They also aid in answering questions relayed as assignments for further research. Part 2 Mini-lesson planning shall involve; description of the topic, “Teaching English as a second language” whereby learning and teaching materials include course textbook, tutor notes to teach ideal concepts to learners. Afterwards, connection skills where the previous lesson shall be highlighted. Application of pedagogical skills is thus required to ensure the objectives of the study are derived accordingly. The central concept is understanding to which extent theory of language aids upon comprehending different language pattern (Richards, & Rodgers, 2014). In contrast, reflection holds integral section of our learning process. Its derived to initiate more information, more so with regard to improving skills on writing. Thus, relevance of the course work, is ensuring total application of knowledge learnt in authorship, to bridge the gap in writing. Future trends, more so in writing, with close consideration of getting forth positive feedback, handling revisions and editing the paper are main concepts in the course that have positively influenced planning for this lesson, regarding a total physical response.
