Full Strategic Case Analysis Your Case Analysis should be thorough and may include tables, graphs, and/or charts. Your analysis must cover each of the following three areas: 1) Problem Identification: Identify the strategic issues and key problems with the companys current situation. Key points to include: a. The firm’s current situation and strategy b. The problems/issues with the strategy c. The problems/issues with the strategy implementation 2) Analysis and Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate the financial performance of the firm. Analyze and evaluate any other factors affecting the companys strategic success and failure, such as marketing, production, management, etc. Key points to include: a. Appropriate/relevant financial ratios. b. References to the strategic concepts and analytical tools from the course (e.g. Porters five forces, Value Chain Analysis, etc.) c. Sound evidence for your evaluation (not merely your opinion). 3) Recommendation: Provide a recommendation on what the company should do; how they will do it; and when. Your recommendation should: a. Address the strategic issues you identified b. Include a plan for how to implement your recommendations. Length limit: Five pages (11 point font, single-spaced, 1 margins). LENGTH IS NOT MANDATORY.
