The purpose of the case study paper is to demonstrate your understanding of the readings and your ability to apply course content to social work challenges faced by individuals, couples, families, and groups. Using the case study provided on Blackboard and guided by course readings, you are required to complete the Person In the Environment (PIE) assessment. The following questions should be answered in the assessment: Social Role: What was the clients social role? Environment: How was the clients environment? How did the environment affect the client? Provide examples. Mental Health Disorders: Did they client have any mental health disorders? If so, what were they? Physical Disorders: Did they client have any physical health disorders? If so, what were they? Red Flags: Are there any red flags that a social worker should address with the client or in the client system? Evidence of Racism or Oppression: Did the client experience or was their evidence of racism or other forms of oppression? Use your textbook (Human Behavior in the Social Environment) and other supportive resources to strengthen your viewpoint. The paper should be 3-4 pages long (excluding the cover page and references) and should be written in APA format (7th edition).
