[SOLVED] Small Victories and Bitter Harvest
1st Part: 15 points The first part of the paper pertains to an analysis. An analysis is not a book report or summary! However, you should be thorough in your responses. No quotes!!! I repeat, now quotes!!! I know what the book has to say. You may paraphrase, but you must give reference to the author (this also applies to the synthesis analysis). I should be able to read your analysis and get a complete understanding of the issue(s) taking place. Within your analysis I want you to identify and describe the sociological issues (poverty, environment, economy, urbanism, etc.) that take place throughout the book. (There are several, so make sure you identify at least 3 of them.) In addition, what is the main problem that is being expressed by Woods? Remember this part should only be an examination of the book, you should hold back your own perspectives and ideologies in this section. 2nd Part: 30 points The second part of the paper refers to a synthesis analysis using ideologies of rural sociology. As we have learned during the course of the semester, rural communities are the heart and soul of America. However, due to the effects of poverty, depopulation, and the decline in farming/manufacturing, these communities are dying. The urban movement has destroyed many rural communities. With the shift of rural flight taking place, it has left many rural communities in disarray. Nevertheless, Woods believes these communities can become viable again. Therefore, describe the sociological impacts migration has had on rural communities (be specific and provide three examples)? Woods states that rural America will never be able to compete with urban America, yet he strongly believes that rural communities can fight off the final bitter harvest; provide three examples in why Woods believes rural America has a chance to survive. Using a conflict perspective, describe the issues of poverty and inequality that are plaguing rural America? (Provide two examples for each social problem.) In addition, compare and contrast the trends that take place between Ada, Plainville, and Artwood (give two examples for each). Based on the arguments presented by Woods; can rural America be saved? (Provide two precise examples to support your argument.) Make sure you address each of these issues within your paper. Failure to do so, will result in loss of points! This will be the second time i’ve placed this order fo this paper. The first one was plagiarized. PLEASE DO NOT COPY AND PASTE FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE>
