Instructions: A). Select a potentially interesting fictional TV or movie character. The character can be a favorite from any type of program such as drama, comedy, soap opera etc. but should be currently available for viewing. For example, you may choose a character from Everybody Loves Raymond, CSI, The Simpsons, Greys Anatomy, etc. You are not restricted to negative or maladaptive personalities. You may wish to focus on a specific episode of the show and briefly describe the plot and circumstances of that particular episode. B) Select two of the personality theories from your text that are NOT being covered on the schedule and use each one to describe the TV characters personality. For example, if you were describing Homer Simpson from a Freudian perspective you might discuss his conflicts between the id and superego. From a Skinnerian behavioral perspective, you might focus on positive and negative reinforcement and so on. (Please note that this is just an example. Since both Freud and Skinner are on the class schedule, you may not choose either one of them). You may choose from the following theories: Text book link- https://cnx.org/contents/[email protected]:[email protected]/Introduction-to-Personality You must use this book as one of the references but only from chapters 4 and 6 a.
