[SOLVED] Network Programs

Oguss explained how the debut of Chico and the Man left many Latinos with mixed emotions. Although many were both pleased networks finally created a program centered on a Latino character, they were simultaneously incensed with how the industry carelessly developed the program without Latino writers or a Chicano actor. Do you agree sitcoms should necessarily reflect a “true-life” glimpse of where they are situated?  Identify other network programs from this week that represented the same kind of conflicted reception and why it was, in your view, controversial?
