NOTE: If you are wondering how long your answers should be; the obvious response is whatever it takes to adequately answer the question. I do not expect an entire page for each question. However, the terms discuss, describe, and explain should alert you to the fact that none of these 5 questions can be adequately answered in a few sentences. It is important that you fully develop your answer to demonstrate that you fully understand the concept. 1. It has been said that personal integrity is the most important characteristic for leadership. Do you agree or disagree? Why? Discuss the integrity paradox and the Integrity Trinity. 2. Discuss the relationship between ambiguity tolerance (analytical skills) and the ability to expand knowledge (continual learning). 3. Effective leaders are very careful to guard against the corrosive effects of power and influence. Describe the influence tactics that can most easily be abused. 4. Discuss the differences between coaching and mentoring. 5. The competency of motivation involves knowledge of motivation theories. Maslows hierarchy of needs and Vrooms expectancy theory are used to illustrate the elements of motivation. Compare and contrast the two theories. Required Readings Van Wart, M. 2017.
