Introduction: This journal assignment will allow you to analyze concepts and topics covered within Module 1. This activity supports learning outcomes: 1. Understand the nature and role of forensic science. 3. Garner knowledge of several forensic disciplines through self-guided research. The Assignment Instructions: Generate a journal entry containing your thoughts, reflections, and analysis of the following topics from Module 1. Be sure to cite the source of any information you derive from references. Failure to cite references results in an automatic drop of one letter grade. TOPICS: Page 4 in your text lists several sub-disciplines of forensic science. Perform research of at least two of these sub-disciplines and describe what you have learned about them- make sure that you link these disciplines with forensics! For example, you should not be writing about biology in general, you should be writing about forensic biology. Do not submit attachments; please paste or type your responses directly in the journal. Do not copy and paste from sources- use your own words. Acceptable Length: See Grading Criteria Immediately Below Grading Criteria: To receive an A, each topic must be accurately addressed in at least 400 words, with two or fewer writing errors. To receive a B, each topic must be accurately addressed in at least 350 words, with four or fewer writing errors. To receive a C, each topic must be accurately addressed in at least 300 words, with eight or fewer writing errors. D and F grades will be issues for journal entries not meeting the aforementioned requirements.
