[SOLVED] Electrical Stimulation
Students are to objectively describe at least two (2) of the main points from each chapter assigned reading and why it is relevant to understanding. 1) Each week students are assigned two (2) textbook chapters to thoroughly read unless otherwise guided by the instructions, and students are assigned to completely watch Film on Demand video(s) to further their learning and from which to quote/cite from for each chapter assigned. 2) Each assignment is to be submitted as a single Word document as per the template provided. (For example: Week 1 consists of assigned subsections from chapters 1 and 2, to be submitted as one Word document. 3) Each chapter homework must: ? include the students name, class, date, and title. ? contain no less than 300 words per chapter weekly response (the students name, class, and title, or cited quotes, is not included as part of the word count. ? Must contain a total of six (6) quotes from the assigned textbook and Films on Demand as follows: i. (1) one textbook quote from each chapter subsection for a total of four subsections per assigned chapter, contain two quotes for each chapter for a total of four (4) textbook quotes, and ii. (1) one film quote per chapter for a total of two (2) film quotes. 4) Quoting and Citing: a. Two (2) examples for citing and quoting from the textbook authors in APA format follows: As cited by Sigelman & Rider (2018), followed by the quote. (p. 3), or According to Sigelman & Rider (2018), followed by the quote. (p. 3). b. An example is of citing and quoting from another researcher/author from within the textbook should be cited as follows: Moruzzi & Magoun (1949) discovered that electrical stimulation of the reticular formation of a sleeping cat caused it to awaken at once, (as cited by Sigelman & Rider, 2018, p.44) c. For citing and quoting from Films on Demand: According to (include the title of the Film, and the individual from the film that you are quoting from, followed by the quote, and the film counter (Film on Demand, 02:15 03:45). The counter is located at the bottom of every film. d. First names and/or first and middle initials of cited sources, are not to be included in-text. (This is reserved for the APA- Reference page or MLA Work Cited page, which is not required except for the Final Assignment. 5) No personal reflection or use of personal pronouns, such as, I, me, we, us, our, you, or your, which lean toward self-reflection, a personal response, rather than content informative. 6 6) Instructions must be followed and all homework is to be reviewed before it is submitted to ensure that it contains: i. Accurate spell checking, ii. Paragraph indentations ½ left margin, iii. Use of paragraphs which should be approximately 5-6 sentences, iv. 1 margins all around the page, v. Left justification vi. Times New Roman 12pt., vii. Double spaced lines viii. Correct citation of quotes and author/page referencing. ix. The title is not to be in bold, underlined or in caps.
