[SOLVED] Discussion Forum Post
In Chapter 1, the textbook discusses the challenges on being a manager…the Planning, Organizing, Leading and Control functions of an organization can be extremely difficult to balance. Read the entire chapter and the Management in Action Case Study at the end of Chapter 1 (pages 37 – 38). Review the five “For Discussion” questions…also take some time to research where Yahoo is headed right now. Who has left the company? Who has joined the firm or been promoted? How are profits and growth on their new / ongoing projects? Also consider how your own work and life would influence your response to these challenges. You have relevant and important knowledge from your good and bad management experiences. For your post this week, answer question #5 “For Discussion” ..please follow these guidelines… For your response, comment on a question that you did not originally answer…and consider how you would react if you worked for Yahoo! It is a big company that has had a lot of ups and downs through the years. The following guidelines must be met for all Discussion Forums in BUSM courses: 1) Read the question carefully. 2) Read the corresponding textbook Chapter(s) and take notes. 3) Conduct research as required by the question. Use government websites, professional journals, trade magazines, and credible sources that are recent and relevant. 4) Note the Works Cited for each source (use either APA or MLA style) at the end of your Discussion Forum.
