Each is looking at the same picture book created by the researcher, Dr. Susan Geldman. 2. Analyze each interaction separately. In each case explain what strategies the mother uses to teach her daughter words and concepts linked to animals in the book called Animal Friends. (A pdf of the book is attached to this assignment.) How successful is the mother in supporting her childs language learning in an age-appropriate way? (In other words, do you think that the child is learning something?) Then write a paragraph (or two) comparing and contrasting the strategies used for a child who is 18 months, and a child who is a little over 3. 3. SUGGESTION FOR ORGANIZATION: Create subheadings consisting of a limited number of strategies you have chosen. In each case explain how the strategy works supports language learning and provide examples from the data.
