The purpose of this assignment is to understand the concept of social justice throughengagement with critical feminist science fiction literature. Social justice can be definedas the ways in which human rights are manifested in the everyday lives of people at alllevels of society. Octavia Butler was an African-American science-fiction writer whoseprotagonists were young women of colour and whose writings explored the themes ofracism, misogyny, class, gender, sexuality, patriarchy, ableism, rape culture, trauma,violence, war, colonization, reproductive justice, and many others within the context ofsocial justice.In this paper, you will write a five-page critical reflective paper on the social justicethemes identified in the novel ‘Dawn’by Octavia Butler.
