Margins = one inch (Generally, this needs to be changed because the programmed setting is greater than i inch) Indents = .5 (one tab) spaces for paragraphs Quotations of 4 + lines must be “set off” from the rest of your paper with no quote marks—indent an additional .5 space and double space the quote. Using Quotations:    AVOID putting a quote in a sentence by itself!! [Floating Quote]  Introduce your quotes with an Author + Signal Word combination [Jones states, ” xxxxxxxxx” (34). a phrase [For sure, “xxxxxxxxx” (Jones 112). or a word [Moreover, “xxxxxxxxxx” (Jones 34). or a sentence followed by a colon. Also, if you use something longer than a one to four word quote, explain or discuss it. Make sure the reader understands the importance of the quote or a “word” in the quote. ***“All” information (quotes and paraphrases) require a citation— —author + page numbers, if available!!*** Works Cited references must be MLA formatted. Make sure you research this before writing it!! **Introductory Paragraph must include your Argument thesis (subject + claim).
