Opinion Paper: (APA style 6th ed., 6 to 8 pages with 8+ scholarly reference) In its Just Think prompts, your text asks questions of the reader in each chapter. Choose one of these Just Think prompts and craft an Opinion Paper (6-8 pp.). Make sure both/all sides of the argument are addressed, concluding with your evidence-based, informed opinion. Eight or more scholarly references are required. Late papers will not be accepted. “Just Think” prompt to use: From your own personal experience, what is a non-obvious predictor of GPA that is probably not correlated with time spent studying? Important points: Papers MUST be submitted in a Word .doc/.docx format. No exceptions. Paper should be in APA 6th edition style (resource: google Purdue OWL APA 6th edition) Include a Title Page, an Abstract, the Body of your paper, & a Reference page. Page count (6 to 8 pages) applies only to the body. Underline your Thesis Statement. (resource: google Thesis Generator and use one of the search results) Do NOT include the textbook in your paper or on your Reference page. Conduct your own research. Use college grammar, syntax, vocabulary, critical thought, and analysis. Use 3rd person voice. Omit any inclusion of, It is my opinion…, I believe…, or I think… Those are assumed as you are the writer of the paper. Referencing your resources as evidence of a position is appropriate construction for a college student.
