Moral Dilemma
We have recently been considering a series of moral dilemmas in which Kantian deontology and Mills utilitarianism reach different conclusions as to the course of action that one should pursue. Now it is your turn to devise a moral dilemma that pits deontology against utilitarianism! But wait, theres a twist. Your scenario will also have to take into account a philosophical consideration of race and/or gender as presented in the readings for sessions Y and Z (or other relevant identity categories, such as economic class, sexuality, and/or culture). As you evaluate your dilemma, you should present compelling arguments for and against each available course of action. Nonetheless, you will have to decide whether the deontological or utilitarian approach to your dilemma is more compelling and explain how consideration of identity categories influenced your determination Can use the book Philosophy and the Human Condition
