Defend your choice. Would you consider a mixed methodology? Why or why not? 2- Comment: on both responses as they will serve as a sample to follow responding to the prompts : Sample of response: # 1 Q.M As a researcher conducting an Ethnography, I would choose a mixed methodology of qualitative and quantitative research, but qualitative research would be the dominant and overarching design. For example, I’m highly interested in the social and academic challenges faced by refugee students in America as well as those overseas. If I were to conduct an Ethnography on refugee students in America, numerical data would undoubtedly help but the essential information that will help me devise a plan to solve the tsunami of problems they face will be obtained through interviews and personal interactions–all qualitative. According to Newbold (2018), Ethnography research includes the following steps: identify the research question, determine the location(s) for research, formulate presentation method, acquire permissions and access, observe and participate, interview, collect archival data, and code and analyze data.
