[Get Solution] Legal and Academic Writing
The goal of legal writing is to communicate information about the law clearly. The type of communication can affect the style of how the information is communicated. Legal professionals communicate with clients and other members of their legal team and profession through different forms of writing, such as client letters, legal memoranda, or e-mail. You are asked to prepare a short office memo that provides an explanation of how legal writing differs from academic writing. In this memo, you should also identify the main types of legal writing, including a brief description of the purpose of each type of writing. For this course, we will be using the Bluebook style for formatting and legal citation. There are resources included in this weeks readings to introduce you to how to format citations for specific types of reference sources. Length: 1-2 pages, formatted as an office memo, with reference sources cited References: Include a minimum of three scholarly resources. Your memo should demonstrate an understanding of the different types of legal writing, as well as the differences between legal writing and academic writing. Your response should reflect graduate-level writing and BLUEBOOK standards for formatting and citation. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
