[Get Solution] Environmental Policy
How My Travel Around the World Change My Perspective of Myself, Family Peoples Cultures, And the Environment The internet and social media can make the globe appear smaller. However, when one travels, they realize the world is big, with many elements to explore (Constable, 2016). I have had the opportunity to travel to Egypt, India, United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Canada with my family, which changed my perspective regarding myself, family, peoples cultures, and the environment. It is usual for individuals to display intimate actions in public, such as cuddling and holding hands in our country. However, Egypt gave me a new perspective in that some cultures disapprove of the behavior (Cultural Atlas, n.d.). Hence, it is unhygienic to use it in eating. I learned that it is critical living with parents until one finishes their education from the visit to France. If one does not live with their parents, they should frequently visit them to ensure a strong family bond. Moreover, I have a keen interest in environmental sustainability. A trip to Canada and France provided a new outlook regarding environmental conservation. Canada has an elaborate environmental policy aimed at protecting the land, the oceans, and reducing air pollution such as the Worlds Ocean Day, which supports the protection of oceanic species which are at risk and the rehabilitation of vulnerable coastlines (Government of Canada, n.d.). Therefore, environmental sustainability should not only be concentrated on reducing greenhouse gas emissions but protecting the entire ecosystem in general. On the other hand, I learned from the trip to France that protected areas are critical in ensuring a sustainable environment. By 2014, protected areas in France constituted 15.4 percent of the countrys land and 3.4 percent of the oceans (France Diplomacy, n.d.). I will use the insights gained from the trips to better my interaction with people from different cultures, better my life, and interest in environmental conservation.
