Effect of COVID-19
Essay question: How has the outbreak of the Pandemic COVID-19 affected the cities of the United Arab Emirates? Discuss in relation to economic, social-cultural, environmental/global and political factors and consider the themes of the course we have covered so far; gender, fear, separation/segregation and difference. Use the readings from the course to inform your answers as well as your own research and arguments. Your midterm comprises a single essay question. It is due on the 29th of October but you may submit as soon as you are finished. You will need to follow the normal pattern of argument, statements and facts, and examples and details backup up as needed by references. Please include a bibliography and a cover page. Submit it in Word ONLY (NOT PAGES) and use double spaced 12 point type in Times New Roman. I would expect you to write around 1500 words. You will need to consult a number of sources. This number is up to you, as I’m sure at this point you know how many sources you need in order to have a full, complete essay that covers your arguments, discussion, and points. Please use material from the course as well. Make sure you have FULL COMPLETE PROPERLY REFERENCED APA CITATIONS FOR BOTH QUOTES AND PARAPHRASED MATERIAL. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN PLAGIARISM AND APPROPRIATE ACTION WILL BE TAKEN.
