Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis holds that different languages divide nature and determined categories in different ways, that is, the structure of a language will affect their thinking mode (Perlovsky, 2011). Human know the world through language, meanwhile the understanding of the objective world is also affected by language, which sometimes presents the essential features of language (Vivanco, 2018). Indeed, language can affect thinking, but can absolutely not decide the world view. Due to the fact that the differences among languages are limited, we can tell that the cross-language understanding is achievable. Undoubtedly, language is the carrier of cultural symbols. When students from different cultural backgrounds acquire a second language, we should face up to cultural differences and formulate different teaching modes according to different characteristics. Some researchers focus their study on Chinese ESL students at the intermediate and advanced level. According to I-Ru Su& Yi-Chun Chou (2016), “Learners’ laguagae system is interconnected instead of independent.” In another research, researchers examined how Chinese ESL learners read.
