Discrimination in the Workplace
There is still a lot of discussion today about discrimination in the workplace, whether based on race or gender. Many people think women have finally arrived, while others feel that they still have a long ways to go. Does gender-based discrimination still exist in the work place? If so, to what extent does it exist? Are there traditional gender roles for men and women in the workplace? How do patterns of treatment of women in the workplace differ from that of men? Have women smashed or only cracked the glass ceiling? Give specific examples. Define glass escalator/elevator. Does it really exist, and if so, how has it affected both men and women in the work place. Answers should be based on research and not just your gut feelings. Give examples and facts to support your claims/conclusions. References must be included.
