Defining A concept

Students will look at the many ways they can be classified. Objectives Define a concept by describing its boundaries and identifying key examples. Relate concepts to one another with mind maps. Outside of school you can be classified in many other ways. What are five ways that you are classified outside of school? Outside of school I am classified as a parent, a spouse, a sibling, a cashier, a woman. Next, as a journal entry, write the following questions and then answer the corresponding question. How do these classifications tie together to reflect you? Create a mind map that reflects who you are and the characteristics you have. Include both how you are identified inside and outside of the classroom. What additional observations can you make now that you have defined yourself in a visual manner?
