Policy Mapping (20 pts.) – This assignment has two purposes: 1) to pinpoint your policymakers, and (2) to obtain their perspective on bilingual education, ideally, or the education of culturally and linguistically diverse students, more generally. Move from local/regional (e.g., school district superintendent, school board, mayor, alderman, congressman,) to state (e.g., superintendent of pubic instruction, governor, senator). What can you learn from their past voting record on bilingual/multicultural education issues? You may collaborate with 1 or 2 of your peers. Submit in a digestible format (e.g., table, flow chart, brochure, PPT).
