Crisis Resolution
Choose any crisis: Final Culminating Project For this project, you are the police chief and you need to explain what your department is doing to address the crisis in a 3-5 minute speech for the local TV network and social media. This should be in a video-recorded Press Conference format. You may use your phones, your computer, or cameras; but your attention to a professional presentation is expected. This means, location setting, clothing, distractions, and delivery. You know what you want to say, because you will have made notes on it, so just relax and convey the information remembering to integrate what you learned about de-escalation. Select one of these crisis scenarios: Crisis 1 One of your officers has been accused of using too much force to apprehend a minor. Crisis 2 A bomb threat at a local elementary school. Crisis 3 Numerous armed robberies in a section of town. Crisis 4 A potential serial rapist targeting college students. Use the presentation rubric, submit to your instructor for feedback. Once you have reviewed the instructors feedback and made the necessary updates, upload the presentation file to your e-portfolio.
