Therefore, I will only make a few additions to your discussion on how outbreaks and pandemics have generally disoriented human life in various ways.
The terms pandemic and outbreak correlate to health occurrence in reference to the spread and infectious rate. Therefore, they indicate the need for prior precautions and effective measures to prevent high mortality and morbidity rates (Piret & Boivin, 2021). Pandemics are a large extension of outbreaks that affects the population socially, economically, physically, and psychologically. Most of the outbreaks and pandemics such as HIV/AIDs, Ebola, and the Covid-19 virus have led to increased mortality and morbidity rates globally (Madhav et al., 2018). According to Global Burden Disease, most health organizations, agencies, and governments have tried to advance pandemic mitigations in reducing the occurrence of outbreaks and pandemics from occurring in the future. These interventions vary in most countries, with the Covid-19 virus having almost similar interventions in many countries.
The national and international healthcare systems have used effective measures to reduce the transmission of outbreaks. For instance, the covid-19 virus was substituted as a pandemic that mostly affects vulnerable populations, especially the older populations, those in densely populated sectors, and those living in unhygienic environments (Shadmi et al., 2020). Therefore, such people are at a higher risk of covid-19 infections as most of them also have chronic illnesses, thus putting them in danger. Most agencies globally identified the risk factors among populations to help in sensitization and reduce transmission rates. It is crucial for health organizations, national and international agencies, and governments to consistently update the population on preventive measures to help prevent further occurrences of such pandemics and outbreaks.
