[ORDER SOLUTION] Blog Post
People like to read news. Some companies, like major industry leaders, are able to break that news to their customers immediately when it happens. Most companies (and bloggers) don’t have that luxury. They rely on a tactic known as “newsjacking” to take advantage of current events.
Newsjacking sounds shady, but it’s actually a great strategy to mix your own opinions into an existing news story. You start by framing some current event relevant to your topic, then delve into your blog’s position on the matter, including how your hobby/passion/topic might change in response to it.
In your introduction, your first sentence will include title, author, and topic and point of view of the author (not your usual hook). Then you will summarize the article in 2 – 3 sentences. The final sentence will be your thesis statement about how, or to what degree, your point of view has changed.
You need a minimum of 3 body paragraphs. You want to discuss how you thought before you read the article; how you were influenced by the article; and now, how your thoughts on the matter have changed.
Conclude with a one-sentence conclusion (FI)–make it strong.
Opinionated newsjacking posts are beneficial because they provide raw, current information to your reader. They are excellent tools to build trust with your audience because they provide factual information, and they present you as a leading authority in your space on the tip of the information curve.
Again, check the rubric for how this post will be graded.
Remember the 2 items you always need:
Appropriately written title
Introduction & conclusion (both labelled) sandwiching the body

[ORDER SOLUTION] Cover letter and Resume
NOTE: I realize you will not have all the experience for this assignment in real life, but this is where your research from your other assignments in this module will come in. You will have to see what type of experience, knowledge, degrees, other skills you will need for a future job in your chosen field. For this assignment this means this job ad, cover letter, and resume is one you could apply for in the future and will be mostly fictional.
Find an entry level job ad in your field of study or for a job you would like to have as a recent college graduate. You can use Indeed.com or other online job listing services. Write an email cover letter for the job ad you found. Refer to Chapter 10. This cover letter will use some of the future aspects you have researched for this entry-level job
Write a resume (your choice of reverse chronological or functional). Refer to Chapter 10 for proper choice and format for resume. Pages 248-250 have an example of a job ad, email cover, and resume. Also see the power point and sample good and bad resumes in this Module.
Remember, most of your experience and degrees will not be completed, so you must research and use what WOULD be needed in your future when and if you ever apply for a job like the one you have chosen for your job (find an actual job listing to use). Again, I realize this is not your actual resume but one that you might have in the future. This is a FORMAL WRITING ASSIGNMENT and counts for 20 percent of your final grade.
[ORDER SOLUTION] Process Improvement Project
Reflect on your Process Improvement Project assignment. What challenges have you experienced and how have you resolved those challenges. Are you still looking for solutions?
[ORDER SOLUTION] Policing
In White Collar, episode 9 of season 1, our main agency responding to the crime here is FBI, White Collar Divison. As discussed in the earlier assignment, Peter and Niel are investigating a judge for mortgage fraud. While a counter competitor of Peters, Fowler, from the State Department is transferred over to NYC to work on the same case. But Fowler is under Judge Clarks payroll to look the other way for her doings.
Evidence gathering for Peter backfired when he went to meet Judge Clark at her office to get some questions answers. Clark is aware of the risks of the type of work she is taking advantage of and knows how to play others for her gain. Peter meeting her at the office has no clue is being videoed while Clark knowingly attempts to bribe Peter. To which he makes the mistake of saying not yes, but the mistake of not saying no, either. Clark is all over Peter and his family to get as much private information, along with possible bribery, to get Peter charged and stripped of duty as per the request of Fowler. This is why Fowler has found his way into NYC all of sudden when his friend is under some heat from the Feds.
Peters wife gets Niel to con his way into Judge Clarks office and tamper with the tape before its sent out to Fowler to present to the Director of the FBI to have Senior Agent Peter Burke fired over bribery. But fails as Neil affecting was able to temper with the tape before the delivery was even picked up. Getting spooked Clark makes multiple mistakes and Peter was able the whole team behind him in searching for evidence. After dumping through files all night, team finds that there should be about two million dollars in unmarked cash still with Clark which is more than enough for an arrest and further investigation into the case. Which they were able to set up Fowler and Clark to meet at the same spot with all the cash while the FBI raids in as the cash is visible.
Policing in this show is shown rather dramatic, at least in this episode. Peter didnt refuse the bribe because he wanted to see further the results of Clarks actions. But she beat him to it by having a recording of the bribery with no intent of denial. Putting his entire career at risk, but was saved by the wishing of his wife and competence of Neil. But illegally saved through evidence tampering.
Originally, in the FBI, there is Financial Crimes Section (FCS), positioned in the agencys Criminal Investigative Division, investigating white-collar crimes. Which then is broken into many different sub-units that focus on depending of the type of the crime. Units such as Health
Care Fraud Unit (HCFU), Forensic Accountants Unit, National Mortgage Fraud Unit, and Asset Forfeiture/Money Laundering Unit – (Payne, 690). Depending on the crime dedicated teams have the right mindset and tools this helps fast track the investigations and divide them up appropriately.
White Collar, takes the easy route and creates, FBI – White Collar Divison for easier understanding of the show but in real life, but Peter would be operating one of the units listed earlier if he were a real character. And because to keep the tv series entertaining, more focus is on the dramatic relationship between Fowler and Peter, while Neil, whos on work release, is committing a federal crime by tampering with the evidence might for federal agents. Policing in the episode was utterly disappointing and lack any real-life policing into white-collar crimes.

What will differentiate the short run and the long run? Describe fixed inputs and variable inputs.

[ORDER SOLUTION] Case Scenario using Kotter, and Bolman & Deal
Please read the scenario (When Community Claims Collide) in the text (pp. 142-147). Here you will see an issue that has elicited two distinct views for some community stakeholders.
Please analyze the situation using the four frames from Bolman & Deal. As a minimum, please use two pages, double-spaced, to document what is going on, and what are the conflicting issues, in this scenario. Clearly designate the four frames of Structural, HR, political, and symbolic, by using these as section headings, with the appropriate information under each respective frame.
Please put yourself into the shoes of Sally Torissi. She has a mission and vision of what she would like to accomplish. Using the first four steps of Kotter’s eight steps of change, please recommend a plan of action based upon these four steps (sense of urgency, guiding coalition, develop a vision and strategy, and communicate the vision). Please review Kotter’s 8 stages/steps. I want the actual wording you’d use for the sense of urgency.
I want the actual people, and their identities, who you’d put on the guiding coalition (advisory committee). Oh! Here’s a little hint about creating the guiding coalition-when choosing members, it’s sometimes very wise to bring in a member of the opposition, or anyone who can really prevent things from happening given their position of power. By putting them on the coalition/committee, they often become an advocate for change as they know their concerns are being heard, and they may end up being a supporter. There may be someone like that in this scenario. Also, coalitions are teams, so keep membership at a manageable size-under 12 or so.
I want the actual wording, in about one sentence or so, of the vision (future end-product) for this initiative from Sally’s perspective. Plus, please create a little plan and maybe a time-line for conducting these four steps/phases. Take at least one page for the Kotter steps. It’s OK to use bullets.
The whole assignment will be at least 2 pages long (double-spaced, but bullets are fine). Please let me know if it is going to be more than two pages.
