Activity 1: Discussion—Ethical Solutions to Environmental Issues Context Environmentalism is a global movement that is changing and challenging our assumptions about humanity’s relationship and responsibility for the earth. Religious traditions consider the earth as sacred and offer an eco-theological perspective about human relationship with the earth. Description Environmentalism deals with a number of issues that have religious significance. Issues of debate such as the cause for global climate change, species extinction, toxic dumping in our rivers, and the destruction of rain forests and wetlands have profound implications for our actions as well as future generations. In your research, identify at least five approaches or solutions to addressing these problems. Delivery Think about what environmental issues currently affect your daily life and the life of your current community. Share your five ethical solutions for these challenges in the Forum.
