Multiple observations and assessment methods are often employed to reach a diagnosis. This approach can include the use of standardized assessment instruments. In a well-written 3-4 page paper, double spaced, explore the Old Testament worldview as you understand it from the lectures and reading assignments in this class by covering the following topics or answering some or all of the following:a. A great deal of scholarship (perhaps a bit too much) deals with the authenticity of Constantine’s conversion to Christianity. Was Constantine’s conversion authentic? Why or why not? Reading Response Assignment In the introduction, Resner lays out the problem or issue that his book will address. Describe that problem. Where does Barth fall on this issue? How does Resner propose to deal with this issue? Summarize the key dimensions of the debate, detailed in chapter 1, over the place of ethos in classical rhetoric. Where do the Sophists, Isocrates, Aristotle, Plato, Cicero, and Quintilian each fall within this debate? What would be the point of agreement for most of these figures regarding ethos and persuasion? Summarize the debate in homiletics about ethos (chap. 2).
