Discussion: Research Design and t Tests: How Are They Connected? Whether in a scholarly or practitioner setting, good research and data analysis should have the benefit of peer feedback. For this Discussion, you will perform an article critique on t tests. Be sure and remember that the goal is to obtain constructive feedback to improve the research and its interpretation, so please view this as an opportunity to learn from one another. To prepare for this Discussion: Review the Learning Resources and the media programs related to t tests. Search for and select a quantitative article specific to your discipline and related to t tests. Also, you can use as a guide the Research Design Alignment Table located in this week’s Learning Resources By Day 3 Wednesday Write a 3- to 5-paragraph critique of the article. In your critique, include responses to the following: Which is the research design used by the authors? Why did the authors use this t test? Do you think it’s the most appropriate choice? Why or why not? Did the authors display the data? Do the results stand alone? Why or why not? Did the authors report effect size? If yes, is this meaningful?   Be sure to support your Main Post and Response Post with reference to the week’s Learning Resources and other scholarly evidence in APA Style. By Day 5 Friday Respond to two of your colleagues’ posts and: Make recommendations for the design choice. That said, “every organisation is subject to multiple forces – politics, economics, society and technology – over which the leader has no discernible control” (Vine, 2016). Critically discuss these two mutually exclusive approaches, drawing upon the relevant theory taught on the course with support from credible evidence applicable to chosen organisational context.

According to The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, the first habit is to be proactive. The book discusses the choice to react to life, by being happy, mad, over-reacting, etc. We have the choice to be proactive.   In a word document, type a 3-5 paragraph response that includes the following and upload into the designated assignment drop box: Choose statement one or statement two from below and:  1. Describe why you chose that statement.  2. Your assignment is to write an 800-1000 word “blog-post” style article that outlines and explains your thinking on the assigned topic. Research Paper: Students will be required to complete an “individual research paper”. When assigned has been identified, the requirements for completion will be provided by the Instructor (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, summation papers, interviews, etc.).   Research Paper– The research paper should incorporate the concepts and principles related to the study of Human Resource Management covered within the course. The organization, and/or management issue, that you choose must have enough written about it in order for you to do an in-depth analysis. All papers should be proofread, free of spelling/grammatical errors, include proper citations, and be in accordance with current APA standards. A minimum of three (3) scholarly references are required. The paper must be uploaded to Moodle (by the required due date) and assembled as follows:  • Cover sheet (Subject, Title, Course Number and Name).  • A total 5-6 pages (numbered), double-spaced (12-point font: TNR). The paper must be written in “3rd person.”  • Margins: (1”).  • No newspaper or Internet sources will be accepted, including Wikipedia; professional trade magazines (e.g. Business Week, Fortune, Harvard Business Review, etc.) may be used, but will not count toward the required scholarly references.  • A Reference List is required; appropriate tables and figures may be used when warranted.  • Additional requirements may be requested at the discretion of the Instructor  PowerPoint Presentation- A PowerPoint Presentation may be required during the last week of class.
