In your post: (A) Explain one aspect of our society that you think would be changed by Rawls’s contractors; (B) Why would this aspect of society (as is) be rejected by the contractors, and how would it be improved (by Rawls’s standards)? C) Do you ultimately agree that our society would be improved by such a change? (D) Is it reasonable to think such a change could occur and persist?
Covid 19 Lawsuits
The topic is Covid 19 and the lawsuits that have been filed because of it. Most are employees that have filed lawsuits. Lots in Pennsylvania and Walmart is also facing suits. However, It has to be tied into Judicial behavior. How Judges will or may rule in the following case According to the Wall Street Journal, employers are “rarely found liable for employee deaths tied to the workplace,” both because there’s a high legal bar for finding fault and because states frequently limit such complaints to employee compensation systems, which usually restrict payments based on the worker’s salary or medical bills. However, legal experts say the United States’ coronavirus epidemic could reverse that trend, because the early round of liability lawsuits filed against employers are focused on whether employers followed state and federal guidance for combatting the virus’ spread, such as the use of face masks and physical distancing. According to the experts, employers that failed to adhere to the guidance potentially could be found liable in court if their employees contract the coronavirus.
