Applying these six steps, give specific1examples of the narrative structure in your news story, use subheadings for eachstep.G With attention to Step 4 in your narrative analysis, give examples of the hierarchy ofresidual, dominant, emergent discourses (p.183) in your news story.G Identify the dominant discourse and the preferred reading (p.96) in the news storyand explain why it seems to be the most persuasive.G Define and explain the role of binary oppositions and conflict in constructing themeaning of news narratives (Chap.17).
